To Page Top
Q3: Can the blank part at the top be reduced in the printing with
Windows Driver?
A3: In the printing with Windows Driver, paper
is fed automatically to the cut position after printing.
As this paper feed inserts a blank corresponding to the space between
cut position and print start position at the top position of printing,
this blank part at the top of printing cannot be reduced in the
printing with Windows Driver.

Q5: I am using printer driver with terminal service of Windows2003
server. But printer does not cut paper. What happens?
A5: Please refer to the explanation about
terminal service and printing from Microsoft
http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/6/b/46bae314-ea7b-4c39-bcb6-defbc907ee54/TSPrint.doc
and follow the explanation.
If it still does not solve the problem and if you want to cut the paper
at the end of printing, you can add cut function in the following steps.
Find GPD file such as CBM1000II.GPD in 1.xx driver files.
Open the GPD file by the editor, NotePad for example, and you can find
followings around the 300th line.
*Command: CmdEndJob
{
*Order: JOB_FINISH.0
*Cmd: "<000000>"
}
Change the above "<000000>" to "<1D>V<01><00>".
("<1D>V<01><00>" is partial cut command.)
Then you can have partial cut at the end of printing.
It is also recommended to change version in *GPDFileVersion: "1.xx" of
the 3rd line.

Q7: Why are characters printed by CD-S500 driver not clear?
A7: Those characters should be printed in
graphics. CD-S500 is dot matrix printer and its resolution is not high.
Therefore the characters printed in graphics are not clear. If you want
to print good looking characters, please use printer font
on the application software or set the graphic mode of driver to
Standard or High quality mode.
Refer to the driver guide which comes with Windows driver. If you use
Standard mode or High quality mode, printing is slower

Q3: Let me know the connection
of power cord for CBM-920II.
A3: Considerable amount of current flows in the
power cord during printing operation in accordance with the
specification of the product.
As the method of connection for power cord may cause voltage drop in
the power cord, it is thought that printer operation may fail due to
unstable voltage applied to the printer.
To keep the voltage applied to the printer stable, the following three
points must be considered on the connection of power cord.
(1) Power cord connection
The longer the power cord connection, the more the effect of the
voltage drop in the power cord, resulting in negligible effect.
Be sure not to let power cord connection be excessively long.
(2) Separated wiring
Avoid the wiring with +5V and GND for driving and control lines
gathered to +5V and GND respectively up to the power supply.
Wire +5V and GND for driving and control lines separated from each
other up to the power supply.
(3) Power cord wiring material
In order to reduce the effect of voltage drop in the power cord, use
the wiring material with thick core diameter and smaller conductor
resistance (AWG20 or AWG18).

Q5: When I tried to connect PDA
to CMP-10BT via Bluetooth, I was required to enter PIN code. What
should I enter as the PIN code?
A5:There are two different ways depending on
Bluetooth module that you are using.
(Old type Bluetooth module) If its serial number is
smaller than 0640001 or self print shows firmware version 1.xx, enter
the last 4 digits of "Address" in numbers or lower case characters.
Example Address: 00 0A D2 10 1F FD => PIN code "1ffd"
(New type Bluetooth module) If the serial number is
larger than 0640001 or self print shows firmware version 2.xx, enter
the last 4 digits of "Address" in numbers or upper case characters.
Example Address: 00 01 90 E1 A2 CF => PIN code "A2CF"
With new type Bluetooth module, you may be required to enter PIN code
every time when you connect from PDA to the printer.
This is because CMP-10BT does not save the information of connected
Bluetooth module.
To change the setting to save the connected Bluetooth module
information (Pairing Information), please refer HERE.

Q6: If I print on my paper by
CT-S2000, the print result is weaker than the
one on the paper which comes with CT-S2000.
A6: Because the print speed of CT-S2000 is fast, it
is expected to use high sensitivity paper for CT-S2000.If you use
standard paper, we recommend to set CT-S2000 to high quality printing
mode. To set CT-S2000 to the high quality printing mode, memory switch
MSW5-6 should be ON. Maximum printing speed in high quality printing
mode is same as standard mode.

Case9: White line(s) on graphics
printing
•Effect of intermittent printing
While graphics printing (including TrueType font printing using Windows
Driver) is in operation, printing may be suspended due to communication
speed if data for printing the next line is not sufficient till the
printing of the current line is finished. When print data for the next
line becomes sufficient, printing is resumed (resulting in herky-jerky
operation).
Memory switch is assigned a buffering function depending on the
product. This function allows printing after a specified amount of
print data is supplied. Though it takes a little longer time from the
transmission of data till the start of printing, intermittent printing
can be regulated and white line(s) in graphics may be avoided.
Refer to the user’s manual of the product in use and if the above
function is available, set it to enable and try printing.

Case3: Excessive implementation of paper feed operation
•CR code is enabled by the setting of printer function.
Verify the current setting of CR code with the DIP switch and memory
switch. If CR code is set to be effective, receiving a CR code with
data present in the print buffer causes printing and line feed
operations.
Therefore, if CR+LF code is transmitted for printing and line feeding
from the software created or being used, a line feed of two lines
occurs.
Disable the CR code by the setting for CR code with the DIP switch and
memory switch and try printing.
